History

In 2019, God planted the seed in the hearts and minds of Minister's Samuel and La-Tosha Ellison, to establish and operate His (God) church. In February 2020, God allowed Minister Samuel and La-Tosha Ellison and Pastor Superintendent Henry B. Hunt and First Lady Doris Hunt of Mount Hebron Memorial Church of God in Christ (COGIC) of Baltimore, Maryland, to cross paths.

While sitting under their leadership God revealed to Minister Samuel and La-Tosha Ellison that in one year they would give birth to The House of Zion (THOZ) a non-denominational church. On August 1, 2021, their first service was held at Thurgood G. Marshall Middle School located at 4909 Brinkley Rd in Camp Springs, MD that consisted of 12 faithful members. After renting the space for one month the ministry relocated to a shared space at 6312 Clinton Way, Clinton MD not far from their previous location. Pastor Samuel and La-Tosha Ellison had the privilege to be introduced to Pastor Daniel Darrikhuma of Waldorf Seventh-day Adventist Church located at 11245 Berry Rd, Waldorf, MD. After just 15 months at their current location, on December 1, 2022, God opened the door for The House of Zion to move into a larger shared facility.

Since then, the ministry continues to see signs, wonders, and miracles performed by the hand of God. The rest of the history is still being written by the Grace and Mercy of God.
